Russell Nyberg
Welcome to my blog, Alpine Moments. The idea for this blog has been in the back of my mind since I first learned how to suffer in the backcountry. If you know me personally, you also know that I find humor in just about everything. One of my favorite things is to tell stories of epic trips, close calls, suffering, and general stupidity. Over the years I have made friends with some amazing people with similar attitudes and awe inspiring optimism. This blog is dedicated to those friends, and anyone else that has ever found themselves laughing in the face of uncertainty, up against insurmountable odds; lost, but in good company. For anyone who has ever ran so far for so long that the endorphin release caused what I call a "double rainbow" cry, because "it is just so beautiful out here..." These are all true...Alpine Moments.
